Linde AG Germany has appointed Mr. Sanjiv Lamba as new chairman of BOC India Ltd, a subsidiary company of Linde Group. Mr. Lamba is already the member of Linde AG executive board & has been with The Linde Group since 1989, will replace Chairman S. M. Datta, who is retiring.
Along with this announcement, company reported a more than two-fold jump in net profit of Rs. 50.6 crore (202,613 USD). Figures came after the end of fourth-quarter ended on 31st Dec 2011.
As per media reports, there is about 38.9% rise in Linde BOC October-December gross turnover at 361.3 Cr.
According to a media statement issued after the board meeting, turnover from the company’s project engineering division during the quarter grew by 55 % compared to the previous year quarter due to increased third-party sales. The gas business recorded a sales growth of 34 % over the corresponding period last year.
BOC India Ltd has too informed BSE that at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company held February 09, 2012, Mr. Susim Mukul Datta, Non-Executive Independent Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company stepped down from the Board and also from the position of the Chairman of the Company. In the same meeting held on February 09, 2012, Mr. Aditya Narayan as an Additional Director (Non Executive and Independent Director) of the Company with immediate effect. Company’s board recommended a dividend of 15% (i.e. 1.50 per equity share) of Rs.10 each for the year ended December 31, 2011.
